I normally don’t write reviews but I had such a great experience with Expert Tree Service and wanted to thank Keith and his crew for the exceptional job they did in removing 3 Hemlocks and a large Silver Maple on my property last week. The professionalism shown from this business from start to finish was impressive. Keith & his crew worked with me and listened to my concerns as I was still up in the air about taking the Maple totally down. It was a tough decision since it was home to many of my squirrel friends but the falling limbs had also caused significant damage to my property during the past two storms. For the safety of my home and my neighbors it was best to take the old girl totally down. My squirrels are adjusting as Keith said they would and still frequent my yard and the other trees.

I was also amazed as I watched the crews workmanship and teamwork displayed in getting the job done right. The guys were also very courteous and conscientious about my property. I knew within an hour into the job I made the right decision in hiring Expert Tree Service. They truly stand by their name. They are experts who are experienced and knowledgeable in what they do! I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a great tree company to work with. Thanks again, Keith, Nick and the rest of the crew for a job well done!

After living here in my house deep in the woods between Woodstock and Saugerties I had been through three tree companies over the past years… slowly taking out all of my dying and crowded pine trees. I had a really big job taking out about a dozen pines intermingled with beautiful maple hardwoods. And it was unbelievable that they were able to maneuver their huge 90’ bucket truck through the forest! Keith’s guys at Expert Tree Service are by far the most professional and caring crew I have ever hired. Great work on not just removing the trees but also understanding the esthetic of how the trees looked as a “view”. Keith Jr. really “got it” when I described what I wanted to do. And the cleanup (which is usually lacking with most services) was terrific with them “covering their tracks” and putting everything on the property back together after they were done. Yes they cost a little more… but it’s a great crew who cares and they are fully insured.

Expert Tree is the 4th tree service that I have used. Since I found them, I don’t use anyone else. They have cut down trees, cabled trees, and trimmed trees on our property for years. They always do a great job. They clean up after and you can’t even tell they were here! Fair, honest, skilled, and professional.

I used Expert Tree Service because of significant storm damage and to do trimming and pruning as a preventative measure against future wind and storm damage. We needed work done in all four sides of the house and on several trees. They were incredible to see work. One of the trees Is a large soft oak in the back. This required a man to physically climb the tree about three times the height of the house. It was mesmerizing to watch him climb and remove dead limbs and prune and trim. After more than four hours of work they cleaned up the exterior of our home as well as the street. They were great. We highly recommend them.

Over the years they grew taller than we had anticipated, and both trees lost limbs as the result of damaging ice. Expert Tree Service was highly recommended, as a family owned local business. We got quotes from 3 companies and Expert Tree Service provided us with the best price and they were able to do the job sooner and faster. They arrived on time at 8AM and finished everything including clean up by 2PM! My experience with Expert Tree Service could not have been better. My insurance company insisted that I clear two long lines of trees overhanging my house and garage. I called Expert Tree Service and they were at my home the next day (Sunday!) to assesses the work and make a very fair offer. We had two large trees falling over and entangled above our family cabin. The cabin is far from the paved road in the woods and the dirt road is a mud bog. We needed professional help. We called Expert Tree Service and we quickly got an estimate which was very reasonable. Due to the urgency of our situation, they got out to us fast. “Where do we begin….

Punctuality:
Keith and his crew were here when they said–a few minutes earlier each day, in fact. Our job took most of Friday (8am-3pm) and a few hours on Monday (8am-10:40am) to complete. They came, were careful unloading and setting up and began cutting within minutes.

Care toward our lawn & property:
EXTREME care was taken to lay down mats as to not tear up the lawn with the machine, as well as many measures taken to insure that no parts of the trees came down on our home, shed or all the fences we have.

Communication & Speed in scheduling our job:
First off, let me start by saying Keith came out to give us a quote on a Sunday….after we had a tree come down very close (almost on) the house….he knew we were worried and wasted no time in getting out here after we said we wanted to hire them. We knew they were busy with other jobs but Keith rearranged things to get out here VERY QUICKLY for us before another tree came down on the house and before another snow storm was due to hit. We were very pleased with not only his amazing communication but the swiftness in getting out here so we were not continuing to live in worry.

Pleasantness of Crew:
Keith and his entire crew were amazing! My husband and I were impressed with not only their professionalism but their friendliness and very accommodating nature. They were all very kind and pleasant to have on our property for the time they were here.

Cleanliness:
I am an extremely meticulous person, as is my husband and I never thought they could meet my expectations with how well they cleaned up the yard. They did meet my expectations & I was quite amazed.
To make matters a little more difficult for them, all the trees and branches that were removed were on property lines so we had to make sure every tiny little branch was removed quickly if it landed on the neighbor’s side. They took GREAT care in making sure everything was removed in minutes of dropping it. They hauled out the big stuff first, then raked and leaf blew even the smallest of sticks. When they left, we were shocked at what a thorough job they did getting everything cleaned up. They even leaf blew as they left down the driveway. Just overall, impressive and that is saying a LOT coming from me….

Final Comments:
Our job was anything but easy with a privacy fence, a dog fence, a shed and our house all very close by and they took all precautions to safely lower and remove everything. We were very appreciative of how much they cared and that really showed in their work throughout the entire experience. If we ever need any tree work done in the future, I would not hesitate to call them again. They were excellent and we honestly cannot thank them enough for the care and thoroughness that was given to our job and property. And in addition, the job was done FAST…and very efficiently. Keith and his whole operation truly work like a well oiled machine. You will not regret hiring these guys.”

These guy are simply the best!!!! We used them last year to trim our weeping willow and they did an absolutely amazing job. They raked everything out and used a leaf blower on our grass when they were done and to be absolutely honest you couldn’t even tell they were here they left absolutely no trace of themselves!! So much so that an FBI investigator wouldn’t have even been able to tell they were on our property. We then used them again a month ago to take down a weeping willow and once again we were so impressed with the pricing and job they did I’m still left without words. They truly are the definition of professionals!!! If you want the best these are the guys to use. Not only did they leave the yard spotless and without a trace of them being here they also relocated our chicken coop. The guys did an incredible job. I came across Keith, Rachel, and their crew after a major ice storm a few years ago. They came to my house and cleaned up a bunch of storm damage and did an incredible job. I have four big sugar maples in my yard so finding them helped ease my mind with current and future work. They came by last week and took one down for me and the attention to detail, communication, professionalism, and all around kind nature of the crew was unmatched. As first time home owners, choosing a tree company felt like a difficult task. Luckily, we chose Expert Tree and our experience could not have been better. Rachel who works in the office was responsive, pleasant, and accommodating to our irregular schedule. Keith Sr. who came to give us our estimate was a down to earth guy and a straight shooter. On the day of service, the team showed up on time, even early. The foreman was pleasant and listened closely to make sure he was clear on the project, and his team was respectful of our property. Keith Hughes and his crew did an amazing job trimming and topping three very old (and tall!) maple trees in close proximity to my house. From the initial meeting for their (very competitive) quote, through their final clean-up, the professionalism of this company was on display. Everyone in the crew was efficient, professional and their efforts well-coordinated and safety-minded. As they prepped the job site, they were also very careful in positioning the mats for their equipment to drive on. When the job was finished, you would never know there had been so many machines and vehicles working across my lawn… there was not a trace. If you need tree work, these are the professionals to call!

After months of failure to secure Tree Service’s .. I called Keith after work hours
on a Thursday night.. The next day we met up to review my concerns regarding tree limbs hanging over CH Power lines, as well as the 100 foot oak tree looming over my home.
After that initial meeting .. My fears and worries were put to rest. I could see Keith was invested in helping me protect my home and property.

Lastly it should be noted. When you invest in hiring a contractor you it’s a two way street.

The whole process from setting up an estimate to scheduling was so quick. Rachel was right on top of everything and made it a breeze to get things done. Keith and his crew were very professional and did above and beyond my expectations. We had some massive trees located around our house and over hanging electric lines that were very risky. These guys showed up and went right to work and didn’t stop until they were finished. Great pricing and wonderful to work with ! These guys just left the house. We had a tree fall on our house, making a large hole in the roof. It was an awkward lift with the crane, having to lift the tree OVER the house. Not only did these guys rearrange their schedule to come here quickly, they removed the tree and sured up the hole with some wood planks before expertly tarping the whole thing to keep water out until the roofers can get here. And all for a reasonable price. I cannot recommend this team enough. Grateful to all of them.

Expert Tree service of Saugerties – Hands down best professionally owned and operated crew in my 25 years of experiencing tree service.
